Lions-Quest

The Lions-Quest Skills for Growing/Adolescence is a program designed to strengthen the ties between the home and the school in support of students. Skills for Growing/Adolescence joins with parents teaching children important life skills in the area of responsibility, self-discipline, good judgment, and getting along with others.

 

The programs major goals are to:

• develop and support a positive learning environment
• teach social and thinking skills
• involve parents as partners
• promote community involvement
• foster learning through service to others
• promote a drug-free approach to living
• develop and support positive peer groups
• celebrate and respect cultural diversity

Lions-Quest is a research-based comprehensive youth development and prevention program sponsored by Lions Clubs International, and recognized by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (C-SAP) and The Collaboration for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL).

Lions-Quest Curriculum was adopted by the Carlsbad Unified School District Board in 2001 and has been implemented in grades K-8.
